    Karen Bolinger

    Karen Bolinger became the CEO of Melbourne Convention Bureau in November 2011. Under her leadership, Melbourne has hosted some of the world’s largest and prestigious business events, most notably the 20th International AIDS conference in 2014.

    With 20 years of industry experience, Karen has a strong background in strategy, sales and marketing and has developed robust relationships globally.

    Nicolena Oborn

    As Group Director of Sales – Crown Hotels, Nicolena Oborn oversees the operational and strategic management of Hotel Sales for the Crown Hotels portfolio nationwide. Nicolena has a wealth of experience within luxury hotel brands with over 11 years’ experience as Director of Sales within Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.

    Anne Jamieson

    Anne joined Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in June 2009, appointed Director of Sales, Marketing & Club Melbourne in 2012.  Prior to MCEC Anne held senior executive roles with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Accor Hotel Group, InterContinental Hotel Groups and Radisson Hotels. Anne is also the MEA Board Vice Chair.

    Anine Leakey

    Senior Event Manager - Marketing, Digital & Customer Experience

    Anine Leakey has over 16 years experience organising large events and conferences for corporate clients both in Australia and internationally. Currently leading an events team for BT Financial Group, Anine was previously based in London where she managed over 500 events in 22 cities in Europe, Asia & the Middle East.

    Lauren Hall is one of Australia’s leading women in technology and CEO of award winning Hospitality, Events and MICE software company iVvy. She has built multiple companies from startup to strategic exit and served at the Executive and Board level for retail, advertising and core technology companies. She was one of eight selected from 150 women to Springboard Australia’s 2014 program.

    Over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry in all aspects of Hotel  departments Food & Beverage operations, Accommodation and now specialising in Conference, Events Sales. Responsible for sourcing, securing and maximising every sales opportunity in the meetings and events sector for Rydges, QT, Art Series & Atura Hotels & Resorts brands within AHL. A client calls him 'Postman Pat' as he delivers!

Anna has successfully established meeting and event specialist businesses in the US and Australia.

    Linzi Cavender is a Senior Account & Operations Manager with American Express Meetings & Events. She oversees the entire event process, from the creative concept development and design, through to managing the detailed logistics of an event, ensuring deadlines and budget requirements are met. Linzi brings over 20 years experience in hospitality and event management to her role with American Express Meetings & Events. Her background includes working with many of the Fortune 500 companies and global financial institutions as well as extensive experience on large scale international events such as FIFA World Cup, Rugby World Cup and Olympic Games.

    Andrew Hiebl

    AFMEA, Chief Executive Officer, AACB Inc

    Andrew’s venue management background at the Albury Convention & Performing Arts Centre, soon changed when the world of Convention Bureau called. He managed bureaux in the regional destinations of Albury Wodonga and the Great Ocean Road, as well as Chairing Business Events Victoria for 3 years.

    After securing “Hall of Fame” status for Business Events Geelong at the National Meetings & Events Industry Awards in 2012, Andrew reconfirmed his commitment to the industry by taking on the role of CEO for the AACB and associated board position with BECA.
