aime 2008 green initiatives
AIME is calling on the meetings and incentive industries to support a range of ‘green' initiatives for AIME 2008 that will minimize any negative impact on the environment. Many of the procedures are simple to implement but will have an enormous effect on the footprint we leave behind. |

Working closely with the Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau (MCVB) and the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre (MECC), the objective is for AIME 2008 to set a new benchmark for exhibitions in Australia in terms of environmental impact. AIME Environmental Policy We recognise environmental management as a high priority and have incorporated environmental consideration into our planning policy. In organising and promoting AIME we will encourage our suppliers, exhibitors, hosted buyers and visitors to adopt sound environmental practices that will reduce waste, conserve energy and other resources and offset carbon emissions. Judges will take into account the stand holder's use of recycled materials and the implementation of electronic rather than paper based documents for hosted buyers, trade visitors and media. New - Best Environmental Supplier Judges will take into account the supplier's commitment to the environment and how they have helped AIME 2008 become a climate neutral event.
