Just a Drop

Just a Drop is the official charity partner of AIME. Over 1.4 million children die every year - that's one child every 20 seconds, from water borne diseases such as cholera, dysentery and diarrhoea, caused by either the lack of access to fresh water or polluted water.

Polluted water is the biggest killer of children under the age of 5 in the world for although we can survive a month without food; we can only survive 3 days without water. It is the very essence of our being.

At AIME in 2012, we will be supporting Just a Drop as our official charity partner. During the two days at AIME, we will be raising funds to support this worthwhile charity and the vital project work they are doing in areas such as Ecuador, Mongolia and Zambia.

Money raised at AIME 2012 will go to support the charity's vital project work in the field which already includes countries such as Ecuador, Mongolia and Zambia.

Just a Drop has raised over £1million and have supported over 1 million people in 30 countries around the world to provide clean drinking water. Polluted water is the biggest killer of children under the age of five in the world. Humans can survive a month without food but only a mere three days without water.

How can my company support Just a Drop at AIME 2012?

We’re planning a number of initiatives at AIME and hope that our exhibitors will show their support by getting involved in the following:

• AIME's major fundraising appeal will be to host a Silent Auction.

The AIME 2012 Just a Drop Silent Auction will take place at the AIME Sales Booth. Exhibitors, Hosted Buyers, and Visitors will be able to bid on the prizes that Exhibitors have so thoughtfully donated. Each individual prize will have its own bid card in which the bidder will place the highest amount they are willing to donate. The highest bid on the prize will win and be contacted directly.

• Show your support for Just a Drop and pick up a pedometer to track your steps at the event! Pedometers will be available at AIME for a gold coin donation from the Reed information stand and registration stand.

• Money drop tins for donations will be available at the registration desk and at the Reed Travel Exhibitions stand.

Every prize donation will receive a special company mention on a dedicated page on the AIME website and on our social media pages via Twitter and Facebook! Prize donations that really stand out may also receive a special mention in AIME’s various e-newsletters.
