Judged by Reed Exhibitions Operation Director, Robert McIndoe, this award will take into account the stand holder's commitment to the environment through the use of recycled materials, its limitation of paper used on the stand and the implementation of electronic rather than paper based documents for Hosted Buyers, Visitors and Media.
Additional information may be requested on other environmental initiatives the company has made which may include carbon offsetting of air travel, waste disposal and the company's environmental policy.
The Best Environmental Stand Award recognises a company striving to become environmentally friendly. Judged by Robert McIndop, Operations Director at Reed Exhibitions. This award recognises the efforts made by exhibitors to improve their stands carbon footprint.
Please see the below criteria for the Best Environmental stand award: -
Waste avoidance - Are all materials, handouts and décor features important and necessary? Any additional electronic measures used to avoid waste paper?
Energy efficiency - Have energy efficient products been used eg. LED / LCD screens, lighting, computer sleep functions.
Environmental quality - Have materials with a good eco-rating been selected eg. FSC accredited recycled paper etc.
Low impact travel – Were any measures taken to reduce the travel impact of the stand organisers eg. Flight avoidance / offset, public transport etc.
Communication – How clear is the environmental message at the stand?
Entries will close on Friday, 17 February and a successful winner will be announced on Tuesday Night, 21 February.
