Major Sponsors

AIME would like to thank all of our major sponsors and their dedicated teams for continuing to make AIME the Asia-Pacific's premier trade event for the meetings, incentive, convention and exhibition industry.

The event owner of AIME, Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau, is the only Bureau in the world to establish an international event for the industry of this magnitude. MCVB established AIME in 1993 and has worked very closely with Reed Travel Exhibitions to increase AIME's profile internationally and ensure it retains its status as the leading Asia-Pacific industry event.

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), home of AIME, is the largest, most flexible and advanced convention and exhibition facility in Australia. Featuring over 50 meeting rooms, a state-of-the-art plenary, grand banquet room and 30,000 square metres of pillarless exhibition space, the MCEC is also the first and only convention centre in the world to have achieved a '6 Star Green Star' environmental rating.

The Conference Hall is a large pillar-less space with seating capacity of 840 delegates theatre style or 400 delegates classroom style. The Promenade Room can host up to 660 delegates theatre style, or 330 delegates in a classroom configuration. Both the Conference Hall and Promenade Room feature a 5.5m ceiling and operable walls.

The Exhibition Hall offers 745sq metres of space, built in registration desk with office and storage, and easy access to the loading dock.

The first floor of the centre also features an Organiser’s Suite - a private work area for organisers consisting of two offices, a boardroom accommodating up to 10 people, plus a private bathroom with shower.

For incentive groups, Crown provides an impressive range of guest services and facilities. All of Crown’s three hotels – Crown Towers, Crown Metropol and Crown Promenade Hotel, offer a total of 1600 guest rooms, providing direct access to the centre.

We at Saxton Speakers Bureau are delighted to be a major sponsor of AIME - the largest and most established event for people in the meetings industry. AIME 2012 coincides with Saxton's 47th birthday. Its foundation dates back to 1965 when it was established by Joan Saxton, a world speaking champion. Saxton was, in fact, one of the first bureau in the world.

Since its foundation, Saxton Speakers Bureau has exclusively represented many of Australia's leading speakers, its name becoming synonymous with such well-known identities as James Strong, Ita Buttrose, Bryce Courtenay, Hon E. Gough Whitlam, Roger Corbett, Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, Peter Holmes a Court, Mark Bouris, Rod McGeoch, Hon Bob Carr and Mike Munro.

Saxton's range of services has grown and they now specialize in the provision of the finest speakers, entertainers, trainers and team builders. Saxton also provides a range of ancillary services including media endorsements, contract negotiation, program design, copywriting and speaker and talent management, a 24 hour service and much more...

Today Saxton sits as the first and foremost bureau in Australia. We are very proud of the history, the growth and the range of services that we offer. The fundamental reason for our success is our people - we believe that it's the passion, creativity and personal contact that has made all of the difference. We invite you to experience the Saxton difference. www.saxton.com.au
