Sales and Logistics Co-ordinator
In 2008, SophieRose Wachtel graduated from the International College of Management, Sydney where she completed a Bachelor of Business Administration – majoring in Event Management. In 2007 she was the recipient of the Events Industry’s two major student awards – the MEA/AV1 NSW Student Scholarship and the Amlink Rising Star Award for Excellence.
At present Sophie works as the Sales and Logistics Co-ordinator for leading Sydney based styling and design company Romeo’s Chair. Within only a short period, Sophie has taken on key responsibilities within the organisation and has been influential in implementing new business procedures, along with building vital client relationships. Sophie has been described to have an innovative approach to business - exceeding all employers expectations.
At only twenty-two years of age Sophie has recently been elected as the NSW YMEA Committee Chair and at her recent University graduation in October of 2009 Sophie was awarded first academic place in your graduating class, resulting in a full tuition scholarship to complete her Masters studies.
Sophie is passionate about the development of young event professionals – the very backbone of the future and their representation within the meetings and events industry, along with their responsibility to develop and maintain Australia’s reputation as one of the world’s leading event destinations.
